If you have an early check-out or late check-in and your hotel or apartment does not provide a luggage storage service, then you can leave your personal belongings in one of the lockers in the center of Rome. There are five lockers in Rome, and one more is located at Fiumicino airport (FCO) – on the map below, you can find the closest one to your place of stay.

The price for the storage is 2 Euro/hour for one cell that can hold up to 4 suitcases. Opening hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The cameras are fully automatic. Use your payment card to pay. You can book a locker in advance at the company’s website.

Termini station

At Termini railway station the lockers are open every day from 6:00 to 23:00 hours. The cells are on Via Giolitti street, behind the Coin store if you come from the main entrance. Inside the station, follow the signs for Ritiro bagagli (Baggage claim).

  • Fee: for each suitcase/bag € 6 for the first 5 hours, € 0.90 / hour for the 6th to 12th hours, and € 0.40 for each hour after.

For example, if you leave two suitcases for 8 hours, the storage cost will be 2x (6 + 3 × 0.9) = 17.4 Euro.

It makes sense to leave your luggage at Termini if you arrive early in the morning and want to walk around Rome at dawn before checking into the hotel. I recommend you to read more about: how to choose a hotel near Termini.
