This 5-star hotel consists of two buildings, one of which resembles a flying saucer that has landed on the Alpine slopes. Everything here is imbued with a careful attitude towards nature and integrated into an almost cosmic landscape.
Elegant rooms with large balconies are decorated warmly and lined with wood. In the open pool in summer, you can step directly onto the grass. On the huge terrace, it’s pleasant to sunbathe during the day with a view of the mountains and in the evening — to sit by the fire lit in a triangular stone hearth.
The hotel’s restaurant serves dishes based on Mediterranean and South Tyrolean cuisine for dinner. A separate menu is available for young visitors.
In winter, the resort is more popular with beginners: there are many intermediate and easy trails. There is a ski school. Children enjoy tubing. Walking through the mountains on foot in spring and summer is nice.
I recommend walking to the Almschenke Huber Schwaige restaurant with German cuisine in the evening — just a 4-minute walk away.

Miramonti Boutique Hotel
The Miramonti Boutique Hotel, located in the commune of Avelengo (Avelengo), is more conveniently reached by car, as it is built away from civilization. It’s 10 km to the enchanting town of Merano (Merano).
Everything here is permeated with care for the guests: a fireplace burns in the lobby, and the open terrace has fur covers on the chairs. The outdoor pool is interestingly designed. First, you swim between brick walls under a roof, then emerge under the open sky with a view of the mountains. The sauna is designed as a separate cube with a glass wall. Special hours are designated for children in the pools.
Weinegg Wellviva Resort
The Weinegg Wellviva Resort is nestled among vineyards and Alpine peaks, 2 km from the commune of Appiano sulla Strada del Vino (Appiano sulla Strada del Vino).
The rooms feature huge balconies — real terraces, where guests are greeted by the gentle Italian sun in the morning. Light wooden furniture maintains a sunny mood throughout the day.
The included breakfast is very good, offering even fresh raspberries and blueberries. Wine lovers will appreciate the selection — about 15 varieties of each type.
Andreus Resorts – Golf & Spa
The alpine-style Golf & Spa Resort Andreus, located in the commune of San Leonardo in Passiria, is geared towards active leisure.
It features a golf course, a tennis court, and its own stable, just 300 meters from the residential building. Fitness and yoga sessions with a personal trainer, who will tailor a balanced set of exercises, are available. You can explore the surroundings by bike (free rental), on foot, or on horseback.
After a day of sports activities, which can last all day, guests sleep well in wood-paneled rooms on wide beds with soft mattresses. The starry ceiling evokes fairy-tale dreams reminiscent of childhood.
For those who prefer a more relaxed stay, there is a cigar room and a library with books in German and Italian.

The hotel has a large area with a complex of buildings. There are rooms in the main house and two-story chalets with their own sauna. The rooms are wood-paneled.
Guests relax in the steam SPA areas with different temperatures, enjoy a massage in the whirlpool bath and the warmth of the Turkish hammam, and try traditional Italian wine in the wine cellar.
In summer, guests are treated to calm family mountain walks or challenging ascents. One can visit the deer park in Paraciora Sompunt-Badia or a real ranch. In winter, several trails totaling 1200 km are available at the Dolomiti Superski ski resort, just a 5-minute drive from the hotel.
