Where to Stay in Umbria
Umbria reveals its deepest charms when you sleep among olive groves and vineyards rather than beneath the neon of a chain hotel.
Choose an agriturismo (working farm stay) or a warm, family-run B&B and you’ll wake to birdsong, taste estate-pressed olive oil at breakfast and still be within a half-hour drive of the region’s art-packed hill towns.
Note that many farmhouses require a minimum three-night stay — all the better for settling in and using them as a relaxing base for day-trips across Umbria.
