How to Get to Stadio Olimpico

All football matches occur at the Olympic Stadium (Stadio Olimpico) in Rome. It is quite far from the city center, and it will take about an hour to get there by public transport. Get off at Ottaviano Metro Station – Line A. Take bus 32 to Stazione Saxa Rubra and get off at the 6th stop – Lungotevere Cadorna – Ostello Gioventu. A 5-10 minutes walk, and you will find yourself at the stadium.

Please note: Roman buses stop on-demand only. The best option would be to ask the driver in sign language or in Italian to drop you off at the desired stop.

Your journey back will be much more fun, as the football games in Rome end at around 11:30 pm, and you will get out of the stadium around midnight. Options are as follows: to stomp 7-8 km to the city center on foot; look for a night bus (which runs once an hour); take a taxi; or order an individual round-trip transfer from a friend of ours – Sergio.
